Once again, I hope that I have not offended anyone discussing the misadventures our family has been having over the last couple of months when it comes to our toddler's "potty time". It may seem distasteful to talk about such events; because it is...but put that a side and try to see some humor in these stories...because each has made me belly laugh at some point-usually not when they happen, but a few days or even weeks after when Lance and I are reminiscing about "the good old days" (remember when Simret did this?).
This second story takes place in the bath tub; I am sure you all know where this is going before I even starting, but there is a twist? Lance and I are getting ready for my work's holiday party, which took place in February, my work decided to have their party after the holidays which in my opinion is an excellent idea. So, the party was out at the V-Bar Ranch- a lovely ranch about 20 minutes out of Laramie-close to the mountains with cute little cabins and a river that transverses the property. We were planning on staying the night in one of the cabins. The best part of the night was there was going to be a babysitter there to take care of all of the kids, so the kids could have their own party and Lance and I could be on a date...it was a great idea! I work for some amazing people; who are always thinking about their employees.
Anyway, back to the story. I am getting dressed in the closet, Lance is watching Simret bathe while he is shaving, and Simret is playing with her toys in the bath. Lance walks casually in the closet where I am getting dressed and says in a nonchalant manner, "is it a problem that our baby is throwing her sh*t at me?". (First you have to know that Lance tries hard to be inappropriate in various settings-so he thinks it is funny to say this and then assess my response) I looked at him inquisitively-as I wasn't quite sure what he meant by that comment. I walked past him and into the bathroom to observe for myself what was going on and sure enough Simret was fishing her stool out of the bath tub and throwing it onto the floor. Apparently, she had gone in the bath and now didn't want this fowl material in her bath water anymore, so she was throwing it out. Needless to say, we all got a good laugh out of it and the bathroom got a good cleaning.
A little summary...apparently my husband finds it humorous that our baby throws her stool out of the tub-instead of stopping her or asking her to stop-he thinks it's funny to walk out of the bathroom and into our room to make some smart comment in a calm manner to see how I would react. I walk in...the bathroom is a mess-it is all over the floor, the wall, it's everywhere-it wasn't exactly the most firm stool and then we have to clean it up-and yes, Lance helped (our dog even found some time to stop by and help clean up the mess-a disaster!). My parenting style would have been to stop Simret after her first throw...but I guess everyone has their own way of doing things right?

LOL!!! These are great!! As a mom to 5 kids I have a lot of experience with "potty training gone bad"! But I will have to say that I have never experienced sh*t flying from the tub!
Good luck to you!
I was just reading this and realized that I'm probably one of the only people that knows what you mean about "getting dressed in the closet" and Lance being inappropriate.
Then I laughed hysterically and cried a tear because we miss you dreadfully. All our love.
