Easter and stuff...

I realize that I am bit behind posting. Life has been extremely busy. We are recovering from our vacation, we have had a German exchange student living with us (which actually means anywhere from 4-5 16 year old German boys at our house at a given time; as they travel in packs and seem rather fond of hanging out at our house-so needless to say a lot of cooking and organizing activities for them to do has gone on the last week), and now we are preparing for our next adventure: Jazz Festival in New Orleans this weekend. This will be Simret's second music festival and since she has been saying "dance" and making me or Lance dance non-stop with her for the last week, I think that she will enjoy it. I am hoping that 3 days of dancing will be enough...this girl can dance for hours?
Below are some pictures from Easter. We spent the holiday with our "Laramie Family". This was Simret's second Easter with us. Last year, she didn't really get the egg finding thing. This year she was a seasoned professional. She even had the other kids collecting eggs for her-not sure how she accomplished that? The funny part was that she didn't know why they were collecting eggs in a basket, but saw the other kids doing it so she followed. When the kids got inside and started opening the eggs that were filled with toys and candy; she was ecstatic. She said "Wow!!!" in an amazed little voice when one of the little girls, Kennedy, opened up the first egg. I think that Easter is probably her favorite holiday now-she doesn't like candy, but loved the chocolate and little toys. Both my sister Jess and my mother (birth mother) were so conscientious not to give her candy in the Easter baskets they gave her (as they know that I am a freak about nutrition) and there I was letting her eat fist-fulls of chocolate. But, I guess the girl has to have some fun-despite her crazy mother.

Simret is just lovely- I love her dress. I'm very excited for your fabulous weekend plans (and a tad jealous!)...I think Jude and Simret would have fun at a music festival together (yes, that IS a hint). Miss you!
