2nd Day at the Festival

Day #2 of the festival and Simret is still having a wonderful time. She has been so much fun to take to the festival...but also a lot of work, carrying her around on our back with all of her stuff and ours. So, we are exhausted by the end of the day. But, it is certainly all worth it! The people here have been so kind and curious about Simret and how we are connected. She has gotten a lot of attention with multiple photos and videos taken of her by various people. I have mixed feelings about all of this, but that is the way it has been here. When the festival is over and we are walking back to our hotel, Simret sings the whole way back. Tomorrow is the Dave show (for those of you that don't know...Dave Matthews has been a love of mine for a little over 10 years and for those of you who do know...you are sick of hearing about Dave shows...either way, I am super excited to take Simret to her 1st Dave show. It is nice that the music ends so early (7PM) here so that she will actually be awake for it!

There is also a Kid's tent...that had everything from children's music, puppet shows, to traditional African dances done by children. Simret loved the African dancers...well she loved all of it?

Dancing in the Kid's tent.

Playing ball with the crowd.

Passed out again...

She met a little boy at the Wilco show and gave him her beads and then he gave her his.

Too cute. There is not a time that I don't look at her and see just how perfect she is for your family. She really has your spirit. Love her love of music.

I'm insanely jealous, and more than a little $%**#D that I was supposed to have been there with you as we've planned for months. But it was good for you and Lance and Simret, and we'll be at Telluride with sleeping bags on. I had to set the picture of Dave. Could you have just reached out there and touched him for me?
