Adventures with Letha & Shane

Letha & Shane have finally arrived in Costa Rica. It is a surrealistic experience that we are here together. We are missing one piece of the "Laramie Family" and hope that they will be able to join us next year. So, now Lance's preoccupation with buying property here has infected Shane & Letha. So, who knows maybe someday we will be able to call Costa Rica home... and what a great day that would be. Until then we are off for more adventures in the sun...
Letha, Simet & Lance headed to the beach
Shane, Simret & Letha enjoying the black sand.
Shane & Simret walking into the surf.
Dinner the 1st night S&L arrived (Letha & Shane).
the chef preparing our meal.
Day 2 with the Buller's. Letha & Simret playing on the beach.
Simret bathing in the sand.
Attempting to surf. It is as hard as it looks... and I have the bruises to show for it.
Lunch and our first Pina Colada - in honor of our good friend Jen (that will be with us next time).
Simret enjoying a beer (not really-it was empty). DFS anyone?
Night 2 out on the town. Simret meeting up with her girlfriends "the sisters" before dinner.
in the street before dinner- our main form of transportations is our bikes.
The Buller's at dinner.
We were just messing around and singing "Happy Birthday" to Simret (because there was a candle on the table and she loves the song). Well, apparently the waitress thought that is really was her birthday and they brought her a cake and sang to her as well. She LOVED it- who says you can't have an unbirthday???
Day 3 together with the Buller's headed to Playa Viejo and the "butterfly museum" as Shane calls it.
Butterflies dancing.
Butterfly cocoons at the butterfly conservatory.
Do you know how hard it is to take a picture of a butterfly with its wings open or when it is flying? Almost impossible for this girl and with my camera. Well, this butterfly was HUGE and brilliantly blue (just try to picture it).
