I know that I have been extremely absent lately? As the summer winds down we continue to have many adventures as a family-I just haven't had the time to post for a while. So, forgive me as I'm going to try to upload as many pictures as I can today-to catch-up.
I have been asked to give an update on "the pit". Well, we now have a water feature. Yup, a huge rock with water that exits the top and flows down the sides. This has just added the final act to the circus scene here. Don't get me wrong, I have always wanted a water feature in our yard and it has been a joy to sleep to the symphony that the water crashing against the rocks has created...but this has only created more interest in our yard. Random people are now not only driving by to see the scene; they are now stopping and taking pictures. It is like a side show? I don't even go into the front yard, if I can help it, until after dark-so I don't have to answer anyone's questions. I cannot wait for the fence. I do understand everyone's interest...but I'm hoping that the novelty of having a huge hole in our yard with a bunch of rocks and now a fountain will wear off soon? On a positive note, there are about 4 fence posts up-I will post pictures of the fence later-it is going to be beautiful!

oh yea and did I mention that there is going to be a bridge? Yes, that is how you will enter our house from the front yard-across the bridge.

Jill,
I take half the credit for Lance's creativity with the pit, water feature, rock garden, native flowers, etc... because you were here in TN, whereas had you been there the night he was dreaming this up with that dude til 2 in the morning you would have shot this down? I can't really hear you shooting any grand scheme down, not really envision you not dreaming big, but hey, since you were here and not there, this was mine and Lance's doing. You are welcome!!!
PS... When's the grand opening neighborhood circus party?
