Mile High Music Festival

Our 4th music festival for the summer; Simret is becoming a professional festivalarian. This time we met up with some of my OLD friends. Jessica has been one of my best buddies since elementary school (she certainly has a memory full of the ridiculous stuff we use to do as children and teenagers-I don't think that it helps that we grew up in the worst decade of fashion and music-the 80's). Jessica and I have lost touch over the last...well...13 years or so, but it has been a lot of fun catching up. At times it felt like it was just yesterday that we were pushing her baritone (that was taller than her) up the street on my purple scooter to school ....and Shannon has been a pain in my ass since Junior High. We have this sort of love/hate relationship...maybe more like a sister/brother relationship. We have painfully stayed in touch all of these years and as always it was great to see him again. So, we had an amazing weekend of catching up and reliving the good old days? They also both met Simret for the 1st time!
Rainbow over the summit on my bike ride with the girls the night before we left for the festival.

Simret helping me garden the night before we left for the festival. Apparently, it is my job to grow the flowers
and hers to pick them?
the pool in our hotel the night before the festival.
reuniting with old friends and meeting new ones.
Simret, me, Shannon, and Jessica (Shannon and Jessica are both old school friends-Jessica since elementary and Shannon since junior high)
the salon at the festival.
my absolute favorite picture of Simret this summer...her dancing her heart out to a Reggae band.
Marcia, Jeff, and Luke joined us for one day! It was great to see them again!
Lance?

...if you didn't know, it was one of my dreams/fantasies (before having children) to have my daughter wear a pair of hemp sandals someday. I have had many fantasies that have never come true... glad this one did!
Sunset Day 1 of the festival
Probably the sweetest vehicle that I have ever seen?
Simret in her wagon...Day 2
Simret warming up to my old friends...and let me tell you, we are getting OLD!
eating grass?
reading a book with Jessica.

also: simmy is an awesome reggae-festivilian, hmmm, you two were destined for eachother!
