February 28, 2009- "Potty Time"

Last night Simret asked to go to the potty for the first time and had results! She was so proud of herself that she came running out of the bathroom (with no pants on) lifted up her shirt and pointed down there and danced around in front of all of us (Dylan, Ethan, Lance & I). Hopefully this will become a trend rather than a 1 time event? But, we won't push her-just encourage her to continue to use the potty- it would be great to be able to stop washing diapers!

She is getting so tall- It feels like she is growing and changing daily in front of my eyes. She has so many words now and is starting to string them together. She continues to love music; we have actually started taking her to a music class on Monday afternoons with our good friends Jen and Hannah. It is an interesting scene with a bunch of parents and children singing-dancing- playing instruments, and jumping around like bunny rabbits at times? Would be funny to watch as an outsider. Simret truly enjoys it. Anyway, I off to a parenting conference this morning...trying to learn as much as possible about how to prevent Simret from hitting others and how to get your teenager to hand in all of his homework on time. I know...I probably read too much, worry too much, and search for the right answer too much. But, I guess that is my style. As for Simret, her and Daddy are going to the zoo again today, while I am at the conference. They both love the zoo...
