More stuff...

Simret had her 15 month appointment the other day. The doctor said that she had all of her teeth in except 3-which are coming in. I for one, cannot wait until this horrible biological process of teething has stopped...I am done with drool...changing her shirt multiple times because she has soaked through them. I am tired of the mystery of not knowing if her snotty nose and diarrhea are from teething or another cause. The concept of teething is extremely interesting? It is curious to me why we have to get two sets of teeth...shouldn't we have evolved past this by now? Teeth should grow with the rest of your body...like the rest of our bones do? We don't loose our femur at a certain age and get another one? Who is in charge of this anyway? I guess it so that we can screw the first set of teeth up, before we get our "permanent ones". Weird?

Anyway, she is super tall for her age-97% and not as chunky as I thought-65%. She is 24 pounds and still loves to be carried around? I thought that once the walking started (or should we call it running now) that she wouldn't want to be carried around so much...but this is not the case. She continues to have an extremely large head (I guess there has to be somewhere to keep all those brains) at 90%.
She has started to feed herself...actually, she insists on feeding herself-and will not eat unless she is has control over the fork and spoon. She is definitely learning how to assert her will...and right now she wants to be as independent in the chores of daily living as possible...but would like to be carried around while doing these skills on her own. She likes to clean and put away her high chair tray and the dog bowls after they are done eating as well...she is very helpful (although sometimes she likes to tease me and I have to chase her around the house before we can put them up).

practicing her soccer skills...
Happy 17th Birthday Colton!
still loves her glasses...
don't ask? My mom (adopted) thinks Simret should be able to do whatever she wants...even steal wheelchairs at the doctor's office "because she wanted to ride in it".
Simret loves books...and usually looks at them upside down?
don't think we will be using this picture for the Holiday card?

She looks SO big in that picture with the red sweater (the one where she isn't crying). I can't believe how grown up our girls are getting!! I love that she is so spirited!!

That last picture? That's going to be Erik next week when he realizes he didn't get the 72 inch plasma screen tv with the attached movie projector he asked Santa for for Christmas...
Wish I was kidding! See you manana!
