Just for fun...

I have posted a few pictures of the last couple of weeks that I thought were fun.
Update on Simret:
-Her favorite word right now is "hot"-everything is hot!
-She has 2 more teeth coming in...leaving her with a mouth full of teeth at this time. I only think that she has a few more left (so I am hoping that the drooling will end soon?).
-She continues to love music (and does not discriminate what type of music she will dance to...if there is music, she will dance to it).
-She loves reading books and will actually sit still through a whole book, if it is short enough.
-She is sleeping through the night again (thank God).
-She is starting to hit at other kids when they have something she wants or if they do anything that she does not like (not sure where she gets this at...as I only beat the boys once in a while...just kidding...but this has lead to multiple time outs). I hope that this "phase" is a phase and will stop soon?
-She will throw a fit...for no apparent reason (she has her reasons...I am just not aware of what they are and am looking forward to her language developing further so that she can communicate her needs without doing this...as it is sort of embarrassing and makes me feel like a horrible mother). These fits consist of throwing herself on the floor, face-first kicking and fake crying.
-She continues to love swimming; especially when her friends come (Hannah, Tayler, and Ty).
-She has a love for life that I admire; and a spirit that cannot be fully described in words.
-She wakes happy...which I also admire.
-She gives the best "bear hugs" and open-mouthed kisses.
-She loves her dogs and talks about them often. She loves Thunder the most; as Thunder is the type of dog that will let you do anything to her...even if Simret pulls her fur or ears (which we are working on) she sits there enjoying any and all attention she can get from Simret.
-We are working on walking up and down stairs; instead of crawling. This is sort of scary for her and she lets me know often that she is not quite ready for this complex task yet.
-She still loves to flirt with everyone, and I mean everyone, when we go out to dinner...waving across the room at someone if she catches their eye. She does not appreciate it when she is not the center of attention at the dinner table and will make a loud noise or do something funny, so that those that are being rude and talking to someone other than her, diverts their attention back to her.
-Above all, even the tantrums, I enjoy each day with her and love her more everyday. She brightens my day...by just being in it.
Lance has been working a ton lately...I miss him.
reading books with Daddy...
reading books with Colton...she adores her brother.
what can I say...this is what I am talking about...she is so funny?
Simret looking for "the dogs" outside of my Aunt Tina's window with my birth mother @ Thanksgiving...
"suckers rule", especially when eating out and she doesn't want to stay in her highchair anymore?

I'm going to have to try the sucker trick with Lukey D. And the tantrums are normal, and don't make you a bad mother, they make you a normal mother, with a normal little girl who's exerting her independance. No worries!

I feel like you just described Simret's BFF/Sister Pacey:-) They have a lot in common...don't you just love their spirited personalities!! I know I do:-)

I love everything about her, even her tantrums. She is perfect...and you are pretty spectacular too!
