Small update:

Simret is extremely close to walking. She has taken 3 steps on two different occasions. She also stands for quite a while without holding on to something; that is until she realizes that she is doing it and falls, sits down, or grabs onto the closest object. She is starting to point instead of wave at things when she wants them. She is starting to call me "Mama" again, instead of "Dada". She loves to throw objects and watch me pick them up over and over again. She loves to throw her food over her shoulder when she has had enough...she thinks it is cute...I think it is embarrassing...we are working on not doing this. It is hard to explain, but she waves her arm back and forth (from her chest to the outside of her body) to show attitude and smiles while doing it (I will have to get a video of it...as this is cute). She is also starting to cultivate more hair...it is still patchy though. Each day I fall more in love with her and admire her spirit for life. I am not sure what life was like without her now?

One thing that I do miss, is spending time with Lance. We are so exhausted by the end of the day...that when she goes to bed...so do we. We are going to try to work on this...we either need to take that time to be together or we need to get a babysitter so that we can have a night out together. He is such a wonderful man, husband, and father...I find myself missing him, even when we are together?

Thought that I would post a few pictures of Simret and her friends at her in-home daycare. I feel so fortunate to have her in such a great environment while I am at work.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. It will get better and I'm in Cheyenne during the week and always available to come over and sit with her while you two catch some alone time!

OH, thank you for the update. I know how you feel- I miss Tommy too. We were just talking about how we need a date. Please give Simret a big hug and kiss from us.
Miss you,

Hello,

I loved reading your story of how you found that gorgeous girl of yours. I'm amazed at how fast the process was with your agency. I am single and looking to adopt from Ethiopia as well. I would love it if I could ask you a few very quick questions about your experience in finding Simret.
