Warm weather has returned to Laramie (we consider the high 40's warm in March). So, this weekend was full of out door activities. Both Saturday and Sunday we went up to Curt Gowdy State Park and played. Lance and I took turns mountain biking; which was almost a religious experience for myself...something that was badly needed and well over due. Simret went on short hikes and played in the cold stream with the dogs. We decided that it would be a good day to drive the school bus up there. What we didn't know is that we would have to sing "The Wheels on the Bus" song over and over again until we reached our destination. Simret loves her school bus and thinks that it is great that her Daddy is the school bus driver. Now you may wonder, as I do, why we have a school bus? Some how my Dad ended up with one from an auction (my Dad's hobby is buy junk and fixing it up to sell it). One day we were up visiting my family and my mom, wanting to get rid of it so that it wasn't parked on the side of her house anymore, jokingly offered it to us. Well, Lance jumped all over it; fantasizing in his head how he could convert it to a camper and we could park it in the mountains and use it year round-biking in the Summer and Fall and skiing in the Winter and Spring. But, for now it sits in front of our house as it did my mothers. Don't get me wrong-we have a ton of fun in it. For example, there was a wine tasting in town and we picked up all of our friends and took them to it in the school bus-Lance has to turn the lights on and put the stop sign out at each pick-up. It is always and adventure around here-it also hold a lot of people, dogs, and bikes. But, I do get the random question, "why do you have a school bus?", "are you planning on having that many children?". I am never sure how to answer these questions-as I am not sure why we have a school bus-but no we are not going to have enough children to fill it up.

the bus driver. "the bus driver on the bus says move on back, move on back"
another picture of her in the school bus-apparently not happy about all the pictures I am taking?
our dogs snuggling on the floor of the school bus.
One of my co-workers gave Simret her 1st kitchen set this weekend. Her daughters have had it for 12 years and have finally decided that it is time to retire it-to pass it along to another little girl. Simret loves it. Here and in the next couple of pictures, she is telling you how "HOT" items that she is removing from the microwave are.
"HOT" she is saying with a dreadful look on her face-to let you know exactly how hot it is?"HOT!!!"
a little video of her with her 1st kitchen
