Thursday (I think) Okay...I am back...

I have been extremely tired and busy with Simret, work, and laundry...tons of laundry (we are using cloth diapers and wipes). All is well with Simret; her stool studies have thus far come back negative. She is on her last day of antibiotics for her bilateral ear infections. She is still waking 1-2 times during the night...which I think I am starting to get use to (although others may argue...as I have been caught doing some crazy things lately, like putting coffee in my cereal instead of milk, etc.). I have noticed that I am still in a fog during my work days and have a terrible memory lately...I hoping that will all resolve with time (reminds me of my college years...but the symptoms were from an entirely different problem).

So, as I have promised...I am going to start publishing my journal from our journey to Ethiopia. I will probably only get one entry done a day (as Simret does not believe in taking naps longer than 20 minutes at a time). So, it will probably take me a couple of weeks to complete...but I am committed to doing this...so here goes...

Jill...

I know you posted this awhile ago, but I just re-read it and it reminded me of a poem I used to have hanging in my office called "Mommy Brain." Here's a link to the poem...

You need to go read it to make yourself feel better and know that you are absolutely NOT alone!!

Love to all... Aly
