Trip to Granny's

We made a much-overdue trip to visit my family in Gillette. I think that it had been almost a year since we had been there and most of my family had not even met Makeda yet (oops!). During our stay there- there was a parade downtown to celebrate the Vietnam Wall traveling through town and on 9/11. It was a big celebration- my niece Ca (Jessica) and my sister (Darla) were in the parade on Ca's Harley (biking must run in the family - she is just a little more hardcore when it comes to the art of biking). She does look hot on her bike I must say - and I enjoyed riding behind her (as her bitch) with the wind blowing through my hair and the loud roar of the motor as we cruised around town - it was a liberating experience I must say - ahhh freedom (it also could have been because I was without children?). Either way - it was a lot of fun. That being said, I'm afraid that I'm not Harley material (somehow I can't really picture myself riding around Laramie with a sidecar filled with my African beauties) - I will stick to mountain biking for now, but will look forward to the next ride with my Harley Mama Ca.
picture of our family at the parade.

Ca (Jessica), Darla, and their her biking buddies.
Makeda dancing at the parade (she was also in the Gillette newspaper).

My favorite picture! Simret super excited at the parade.

driving home from Gillette - no there is not wine in those glasses - we just keep them in the our van for when we go to the mountains.
silly girls.
sweet...sweet...sisters- watching a "scary" part in a Disney movie.
Makeda's meet - playing on top of the Eurovan bed.

I love the one where she's super excited as well.
