Holiday Fun & Other Good Times...

We were snowed in (the roads were closed) on Christmas day so unfortunately Simret and I didn't get to spend the holiday with my birth family as planned. Lance was on-call at the hospital so he had to stay home anyway. Since we didn't plan to make dinner at our house that night we had limited ingredients in the house (not to mention the fact that our refrigerator broke-AGAIN- while we were in Costa Rica). So, we did the best we could with what we had. Because of the lack of refrigeration we could only make items that required water. So, Christmas Eve we ate pancakes, baked beans, & chocolate moose. Christmas we ate pizza and pumpkin pie.

Simret "cooking" with her new Christmas presents from Lance's family in Texas. When she opens a present she incorporates each item to her outfit. She even put on the hat that I got as a gift... nothing is left unworn or unplayed with.

The street in front of our house. The weather has been so cold this year and we have had so much snow. I'm starting to feel trapped, it has been so cold that we cannot even enjoy the snow or play outside, because I refuse to take Simret out in negative temperatures. I'm starting to think that we live at the threshold of hell... I love the summer and fall... but other than that I'm not impressed! We are seriously thinking about how we can get out of here for the winters...will let you know when I figure that one out.
