We have spent a great deal of time at the beach the last couple of days. Simret reminded us, in less than a gentle manner, that we still need to follow a schedule... apparently naps, snacks, and meals have to be as ridged as they were at home. Now that we realize this- our time together has tremendously improved... as well as Simret's behavior (weird how there is a direct correlation). Other than the beach, we did fit in a "horsey ride" yesterday. It started as a beautiful ride and ended in a crazy rain storm- the type that leaves you soaking wet. The rain really wasn't a problem as it was 70-80 degree rain- Simret even enjoyed the weather. That night Simret found her some "sisters" to play with. They are 3 and 5 year old girls that hang out at the Reggae Bar (because their mother works there and their uncles owns it). We were of course drawn to the music and environment. Simret showed off her dancing skills and the three became best friends. The girls taught me a life lesson... one does not need to speak the same language in order to play and have a good time together. The girls were from completely different cultures and spoke different languages but were all skilled and fluent in the language of play. It was refreshing to see them hug, run, and play together. They were instant friends... a lesson all of its own.

Our 3 foot prints in the sand.
Simret meeting Nia- her clone that is of African decent and lives in Costa Rica. Nia is even more spirited than Simret- nice to see that there is such a child. They would be extremely dangerous together if they grew up in the same village.
Simret educating Nia on hemp sandals.
Simret's twin Nia... they are nothing but trouble together.
The "sisters" as Simret calls them. Nia (3 years) and Nayr (5 years).
