My parents came to visit for the week and stayed up at Curt Gowdy (it is one of our favorite biking areas in the mountains). So everyday after work (1pm) Simret and I went up for a visit and stayed each night until sunset-which are amazing this time of year! Curt Gowdy is nice area because there is lots to do: biking, hiking, trail running, fishing, camping, duck watching (Simret's favorite), baby stroller races (another one of Simret's favorites-especially if it is with Hannah), ice cream making (my Dad Sam's favorite), and birthday partying (Happy Birthday Jen!), and much, much more!
As most of you know summer is my favorite time of year...it lifts my spirits and reminds me why I live in Wyoming (as this can be easily forgotten on cold, windy days in the winter when the sun sets at 4:30pm. Especially when the winter seems to last 6-7 months). But, now summer...ahhhh summer...a time of outdoor adventures with family and friends...wild raspberries, strawberries and champagne! What more could a girl as for? So, cheers to the beginning of summer! This year I plan to make it last longer...I will saver each and every moment of the summer, so that I can make it through another winter with the sweet memories of summer.
at my parent's camp sight...Simret loves fire, she says "HOT" and "Pretty" when standing by the fire.
Simret helping her Dad smash the ice to take homemade ice cream (Simret's new favorite food in the world-she literally squeals before each bite.).
Standing on the ice cream bucket (like I use to do when I was a little girl and we made ice cream) this is done because the crank becomes hard to turn as the ice cream gets closer to being done-so the bucket slips if it is not weighted down-and I wasn't strong enough when I was little to hold it down, so I stood on top of it...thought it would be fun for old-times to stand on it...but I now look funny doing it instead of cute?

Or here?
Each year the hospital in our community has a Ball to raise money for the hospital. It is a formal event-we call it "the adult prom". This year we loaded up everyone in our school bus and took it to the event-we even had it valet parked. It was a fun night. Here is a picture of the "Laramie Family" before the event.

"the girls"
Simret and Hannah had a slumber party at our house with Dylan as the supervisor (babysitter) for the "adult prom night". Dylan's first childcare experience. He did great!
Simret is starting to choose her own clothes for the day(this is an example of her fashion sense). You may wonder why she even has such attire to choose from? -music festivals of course...this skirt looks so cute with a pair of butterfly wings :)
Again, not sure what is going one here...but kind of funny picture?
