Simret & Daddy Time...

Over the holiday our childcare provider, Bri, had a beautiful baby girl (whom I am quite sure Simret will be jealous of...as she was the baby of the group). It just so happened that Lance had two weeks off...so it worked out perfect for him to be the stay-at-home Dad for the last two weeks while I worked. Each day they had a new adventure together...one day it was sledding, one was coffee, another he took her to the zoo. They had a fabulous time together...when she didn't eat lunch they ate peanut butter cookies together instead, they listened to music and danced together every morning, and read her favorite book over and over again. Simret & "fun-time Dad" had an amazing two weeks together...although I am quite sure that Lance doesn't fully understand what it would be like to be a "stay-at-home" parent...as he just did fun stuff...no boring stuff like laundering her cloth diapers, cleaning the house, etc...just fun stuff. So, even though not much of the house work got done and we ran out of diapers...there was no lack of fun times! Here are a few pictures of their time at the zoo together (it is the Denver Zoo...which is a couple hours drive from here).

Be careful what you wish for sis ;), as Lance with idle time on his hands in your house...well, haven't we been there before? Not that I don't love him with every fiber of my being, but still, you get my drift.
