Last night was a night of celebration with our friends. Tonight we are going to have a family celebration. Dylan will of course prepare some gourmet menu for us to assemble all evening-that will probably get eaten in less than a half an hour. He is the master chef in our family; and I am his assistant. We plan to drink a bottle of champagne that has been saved for many months for this occasion (and that is hard to do around here).
Lance has ripped apart our bathroom and has been remodeling it for the last couple of weeks...it is a complete mess; there is a fine film of dust on everything upstairs. I am hoping that the project will be completed in the next two weeks, before we leave. Until then, I am showering at the gym...I guess that is one way to get me there! I think that this bathroom scene has been rather therapeutic for Lance during these last couple of stressful weeks in the adoption process-men certainly have different ways of dealing with their stress. I am not quite as productive with my stress...I tend to sit and cry-have a glass of wine and play my guitar. One good thing about this last month's anxiety-I have a new relationship with my guitar and my yoga practices.
Yup, this was once my bathroom! The first picture Lance is trying to explain to me his visions of what the bathroom will look like when it is done.

I eat when I'm anxious. You exercise? Not fair. Seriously.
I was just thinking what Danni said:-) You do yoga and go to the gym...I eat chips, queso and ice cream!!
